Angel Cake

Will Anya's new beginning have a happy ending?

'I'm excited about moving, but scared as well . . .'

Anya used to dream of moving to Britain to start a brand-new life. But as she sits in a school where nobody understands her, she dreams of Polish summer skies and the place where she once belonged.

Then Anya meets bad boy Dan. He's no angel, but she's sure there's a sweeter side to him. And when things begin to fall apart, Anya realizes she's not alone - how can Dan be such bad news when being with him feels like heaven?

I absolutely loved this book. It is one of the best books I've ever read out of the books I've read by Cathy Cassidy. Anya moved to Liverpool from Krakow, in Poland. She only knew a little bit of English when she first came to England, so found it difficult to make new friends. I would really recommend this book to people who like a little bit of romance, heartbreak and friendship. When she meets Dan, her whole life changes. She just can't keep away from him...Will the book end with Dan being the naughty boy he first made out to be, or will he have changed a new leaf? Top stars!

OMG such a romantic and cute story i especially loved the bit when dan kissed anya in the rain and when he came to her house early in the morning and took her on his bike for a picnic

When Anya reaches the moment she moves to Britain, she's excited about going-but also worried. Nobody understands her-her lack of English does not allow it. Although she manages two friends, she doesn't feel at all like she expected. Exhausted of all her life's pear-shaped things, she sits down in a corner.
But then she comes across class baddie Dan. Although he's not good news-Anya's certain there must be another side to him. And then things begin to get worse-how can Anya solve all her problems with Dan's help before it's too late?

The first few pages were not so intriguing until I read on. The story had me so magnified that I woke up at 4am in the morning and finished the whole book at 6:40 am. This is my new favourite Cathy Cassidy book ever!!!!!!

Holy heck this is one of the best books I've ever read. Its simple but truly effective. I can't express in words how much I adore your books. Sometimes I feel like I'm too old to be reading them, but I don't really care because they make me feel great. please don't stop writing books, I never wan to run out of books to read from you!!!! I want to be an author when I'm older, and reading cherry crush really gave me hope! thank you so much. It would be awesome if you could write books with girls a bit older too like 14 or 15, but anyway YOU ROCK.
