AUTUMN'S AWESOME!
I’ve had a brilliant September, touring around to launch my new book CHERRY CRUSH and meeting readers as far afield as Dublin, Plymouth, Brighton, Norfolk, Boston, Bluewater, Bromley, Coventry, Liverpool, Stockport, Scotland… and just about everywhere in between! Now I’m home, and finishing edits on the third Daizy Star book ‘Strike A Pose, Daizy Star’. It’s going to be fab!
After that, I’ll start work on Vanilla Skye, the next book in the Chocolate Box Girls series… I cannot wait!
In the Summer, we ran a comp for the best three photos of readers reading their fave CC book… and the winners are EMMA HARDY, age 10; MALLE POOLA, age 16; and GEORGIA RICHES, age 13. You can see their photos below… Malle is reading Gingersnaps (in Estonian translation) beside a lake in Estonia, Emma is reading her book at The Beatrix Potter Centre in the Lake District, and Georgia is chilling out with Driftwood in an apple tree. Pretty cool! You can also see all three winning photos in the next copy of my free online NEWSLETTER... and some of the other entries will be on YOUR PHOTOS in the YOU section soon!

Firstly I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who voted for me to win The Queen of Teen award! The ceremony was last Friday and to my shock and delight I WON!!! I was so thrilled and surprised, and I am very grateful to everyone who voted for me.
I have a gorgeous crown now that I will wear as I write my new books, and since I now have new powers as a Queen I think my first decree with be to speak to David Cameron to get the NHS to hand out FREE CHOCOLATE to everyone and to ask him to put daydreaming on the curriculum for schools!! I wonder if he will…
I’m having such an amazing week – my new book in The Chocolate Box series CHERRY CRUSH is out in the shops now!! And I’m on tour meeting readers in schools, bookshops and libraries across the country! Check out my events page to see if I’m doing a signing in your area… it would be great to meet you!
And I’m also very excited about meeting the Dream Team this weekend. We’re having a special party at Puffin Towers so the Dream Team can all meet me and eachother and we have lots of fun planned for them! The Dream Team are 9 top CC superfans who let other readers know about my books – I can’t wait to see them all!

THE CHOCOLATE QUEEN...
I’m back from the MOST amazing holiday in Egypt and Jordan… I saw the pyramids, the Sphinx, the Valley of the Kings, rode a camel (see pic below), watched the sunset from a felucca boat on the Nile, saw awesome Petra and witnessed the start of Ramadam in Amman… wow! I also met some lovely people, ate fab food, soaked up some sun and promised to return…
I’m so excited now as CHERRY CRUSH is almost out… and the feedback so far is pretty incredible! With a big chocolate theme running through the book, as well as a heart-racing forbidden crush, I think you will love the story.
Very soon I will be off on my September tour… check the EVENTS page on my website to see if I’m doing a public signing near you. I will be in bookstores in Irvine, Dublin, Cardiff, Bluewater, Bromley, Norwich, Boston, Stockport and Coventry, as well as lots of schools in between… and there will be CHOCOLATE! There are dates too in Wigtown, Bath and Cheltenham… don’t miss out!

I’m off on holiday for two weeks… to sizzling Egypt! Woo hoo! I’ve just finished writing the third Daizy Star book, so it will be a well-earned rest! I can’t wait to see camels, pyramids, the Nile…

Hello Cathy, You sound very busy! I really want to read the first chocolate box book about Cherry, but unfortunately I haven’t got my hands on it yet. I love the Daizy Star books and am eager to read the next one. As much as I love reading, I love writing even more. I like writing short stories but I like writing big ones as well. I want to be an author when I’m older. Anyway, I’m going to be doing something similar to you- lazing around and reading and jumping in the crunchy leaves!
