Be A Sundae Girl ...
Summer’s here AT LAST in the UK… for a while, at least!!! To celebrate the sun, get some inspiration from Sundae Girl and send me your ideas for the best-ever ice-cream sundae… the best will be posted online!
Here are some ice-cream cool recipes you’ve sent to me already…

BERRY & CHOCOLATE DELIGHT
vanilla ice-cream
raspberries
strawberries
chocolate sauce
chocolate buttons
Put a scoop of vanilla ice-cream in a tall glass, add a handful of strawberries, a small squirt of sauce & another scoop ice-cream. Then a handful of raspberries, more ice-cream… top with strawberries, chocolate sauce & chocolate buttons!

black grapes
melon pieces in the base
vanilla & strawberry ice cream
strawberry sauce
squirter cream
Layer fruit, ice-cream & sauce in a tall glass, top with squirty cream and add a fan wafer a glace cherry to crown it off. Yummy!

Banoffee ice-cream
Chopped banana
Toffee chunks
Toffee sauce
Put chopped banana in a bowl, add banoffee ice-cream and sprinkle with toffee chunks. Finish with a drizzle of toffee sauce…

Bristol Event Cancelled...
Apologies to everyone who was hoping to come along to the Friendship Fest at Bristol Grammar School on June 30th… due to circumstances beyond my control, the event has had to be cancelled.
Hopefully, I’ll be able to catch up with readers in the area in September, at the Bath Children’s Book Festival… check out the Cathy’s Camper page for more info.

Phew… just finished judging the entries for the fabby Friends Writing Competition. Your poems and stories were AMAZING! There’s a brand new writing comp on the YOU section of the website now, just scroll down to the WRITER’S WORKSHOP page and check it out… and read the cool winning entries for the FRIENDS COMP too! Who knows, maybe you’re a winner, a runner-up, or get a mention in the Highly Commended list?

I’m still judging the MY BEST FRIEND ROCKS comp, so be patient – again, there were hundreds of fantatstic entries, and I want to make sure I have looked at all of them carefully, so please be patient – the winners will be announced as soon as we know.

Put as many scoops of berry ice cream as you like into a tall glass. Add the berries and sauce, then gummi bears, or fruit sweets… mmm!!!!
