HOLIDAY...
The Scottish school hols have just started (I know, I know, a bit late for easter!) and I’m off with my family for a week’s break in the Lake District… I’ll be taking my laptop with me and working on a new book while I’m away, promise!!!
Hope you’ve all sent in your entries for MBFR now… I can’t wait to start the judging. The entries I’ve seen so far look amazing!

You have until April 1st to send your entries in for the MY BEST FRIEND ROCKS comp… this year the prizes are bigger and better than ever, so don’t miss out! You can be as creative as like – get to work designing an entry that will really catch my eye, then send it in to the address on the MBFR link. We’ve had some fab entries so far… check out a few of my faves on the MBFR link see the kind of thing other people are doing! The Easter hols are a perfect time to do this… all that chocolate can only be an inspiration!
If you are one of the 100 finalists, you’ll be invited to my ULTIMATE FRIENDSHIP FESTIVAL on the banks of the River Thames in London, with your best friend and a parent/guardian, for a day of fun, friendship, workshops, makeovers and lots, lots more… you’ll get to meet me, too! The overall winner and five runners-up will be announced at a special ceremony that afternoon. The winners will win everything they need to create the sleepover of their dreams… sigh!

Thanks to everyone who entered the Cool Character Comp… there were some amazing entries and the standard was higher than ever! It was SOOOO hard to choose the winners, and as usual I picked several in each category, as well as runners-up. And I listed several hundred readers as highly commended, those whose stories or poems stood out in some way… thanks, all of you, for entering. I’m sorry not everyone can be a winner – there were almost 1000 entries, so the competition was stiff! I hope you had fun entering, anyway!

My little sister Julia won in the story section yay! My favorite powm for sure was the one about the colours it just sounded amazing magical! Are you sure you can’t give your oh so faithful fans a teeny tiny sneak peak on your new book? Now that you told us I think I’m going to go CRAZY with anticipation!
