Home Again!!!

My travels are over for now… it’s good to be home at last and catching up on your fab feedback about Sundae Girl and Love, Peace & Chocolate!
The Friendship Festival Tour was brilliant fun… we went from London, Middlesex & Ilford up to Coventry, Nuneaton, Manchester, Northumberland, Linlithgow and Edinburgh, winding up in Dumfries. Emails have flooded in about Sundae Girl and Love, Peace & Chocolate – and the good news is, you’re loving them! Yay! Keep your feedback coming and I’ll post the best online.
I’ve just finished editing Lucky Star, the 6th book, due out in the UK on August 2nd. I thought you might like to see a pic of a sign I came across in the Sri Lankan jungle a few weeks back – cool! With Lucky Star sorted, it’s time to start a new story. Think I’d better get daydreaming….

On the road

I’m back from my fab holiday to Sri Lanka – it was amazing! I even managed to meet up with Sri Lankan reader called Dineshi who is 13. And I signed a copy of Sundae Girl for her! Here’s a photo of us in Kandy.

Puffin are giving some lucky readers the chance to meet Cathy at a very special fundraising event for the Rainbow Trust Charity this Thursday 19th April. Cathy will be doing an event in Central London with fellow authors Malorie Blackman and Kevin Brooks, and signing copies of Sundae Girl, as well as all her other titles afterwards. The first five people to email puffin@penguin.co.uk will receive a pair of tickets to the event.

DETAILS:

The event takes place from 6.30 – 8.30 pm at The Royal Geographical Society, Kensington Gore, (Entrance Exhibition Road), SW7 2AR. Instructions for arrival will be emailed. If winners are under 14 they will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18. Entrants are required to give their age, phone number and email address. If under 16 the winner will also need permission from a parent or Guardian to attend the event. Competition closes at 6pm on Wednesday 18th April. Travel to and from the event will be entirely the responsibility of the winner.
