HOME... AND AWAY!!!!
Thanks to everyone who came along to the Twinkling Friendship Fest at Greenwich, the lovely winners of the VIP London Comp and all the cool kids I met at the Bath Children’s Literature Festival! A special thanks to everyone from Combe Down Primary, Kingswood Prep, King Edmund School, Backwell, Churchill Community School, High Littleton, St Mary’s, Hayesfield and Colston Girls School! I had a fab time meeting you all… and I hope you enjoyed it, too!
Special thanks to everyone who made me a friendship bracelet or bookmark, for the fudge at Greenwich, the girls who made the fabby posters at Backwell, and Becky for the amazing fairy cakes!
I’m back home again briefly, with school visits and a Friendship Fest at Wigtown Book Festival on Saturday 6th at 12.30… see my Camper page for more info. Then I’m off to Rome for a few days before my mini-tour in Ireland! I’m mega-busy so I may be a BIT late judging the Song Titles Writing comp… be patient!
I’m busy trying to finish Gingersnaps, too… no rest for the wicked!

ON THE ROAD AGAIN....
I’m away from home just now on tour, and things have started well! Thanks to everyone who came along to the Twinkling Friendship Festival at the Peter Harrison Planetarium at the Greenwich Observatory… you were fab! It was great to meet you all and I hope you had fun – I did!
Later on, I met the super-starry winners of the VIP London comp along with their friends and parents… after a stretch limo tour of London, the winners joined me for dinner and a star-show at the planetarium, along with book signing and lots of chat! Well done to all of the winners… each and every one of you are stars!
The next stage of my tour will take me to schools in and around the Bath and Bristol area… I can’t wait! If you’re down that way, check out my events at the Bath Festival of Children’s Literature – see Cathy’s Camper page for more details!

Hi Cathy it’s me Caroline, the annoying one from the friendship festival (who’s freind gave you fudge!!!). I can’t upload those photos yet but on the brightside your tips on storywriting helped a load!!!! My friend, Chloe, jumped up with exitment when i asked her about the signed LOVE PEACE AND CHOCOLATE !!!!!! Thankyou soooo much!!!

Hi Cathy! I was one of the winners of the VIP comp and it was sooo cool! The limo’s were fab and the lift at puffin house was soo… pink! (and sparkly!) I loved your campervan, and everything! Thankyou sooo much!
TWINKLING FRIENDSHIP FESTIVAL!!!
I just wanted to remind you about the Twinkling Friendship Festival on Saturday 22nd September in London… it’s free, it’s fun and it’s a perfect way to get your copy of Lucky Star signed… and have a chat with me! Be there!!!
The event is at the Peter Harrison Planetarium at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. The nearest tube is DLR Station Cutty Sark for Greenwich Maritime. I’ll be around all day with my cool camper van and there’ll be lots of fun things to do… all for free! (If you want to see a planetarium show while you’re there, there is a fee for that… tickets can be purchased on the day). Come along with a friend or bring your family and maybe make a new mate on the day… and bring your books to be signed! There will even be copies of my brand new book Lucky Star on sale in the shop.
It’ll be a perfect starry day out… I can’t wait to meet you there!
